The Belarusian Information Company BelaPAN received a prestigious reward in the field of journalism. The Dmitry Zavadsky Prize for Courage and Professionalism was established by The First Channel (Russian TV) and named after a cameraman who was allegedly abducted in Belarus in 2000. The ceremony took place in Minsk on 8 September 2004.
